Apart from the inter-district sports competitions among the 18 districts, the 9th Hong Kong Games (HKG) scheduled for 2023 and 2024 includes an array of community participation activities, including "The 18 Districts' Pledging cum Cheering Team Competition".
Purpose
"The 18 Districts' Pledging" exhibits the full support from the relevant organisations and proclaims the readiness of athletes from 18 districts to strive for their best in the 9th Hong Kong Games (HKG). The Cheering Team Competition held on the same occasion is aimed at encouraging members of the public to give active support to the athletes from various districts and creating a cheerful atmosphere for the HKG, while showcasing local characteristics and vitality and promoting sporting culture.
