The Athlete Selection of 18 districts for the 9th Hong Kong Games (HKG) will begin from September. Members of the public are encouraged to participate and represent their districts to compete in the HKG.
The 9th Hong Kong Games Star-studded Classroom – Badminton, Tennis and Swimming* Elite Athletes' Demonstration and Exchange Programmes will be open for enrolment by members of the public aged 5 or above from 15 August. Admission is free and each participant will receive a souvenir.
*Swimming sessions: Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent
The 9th Hong Kong Games Sports Legacy - Exercise to Get Super Fit will be open for enrolment from 14 August. Admission is free and each participant will receive a souvenir.
The 9th Hong Kong Games Star-studded Classroom – Breaking, Table Tennis, Sport Climbing#, Futsal, Skateboarding, Athletics, 3-on-3 Basketball, Sports Seminar and Volleyball Elite Athletes' Demonstration and Exchange Programmes will be open for enrolment by members of the public aged 5 or above from 14 August. Admission is free and each participant will receive a souvenir.

The 9th Hong Kong Games (HKG) Organising Committee announced details of the HKG at the launching event held at Kowloon Park Sports Centre today (23 June). From July 2023 to January 2024, all 18 districts will conduct open selection exercise to select athletes to compete in the HKG for their respective districts.
