Online voting was conducted in the period between June 26 and July 31 this year, when the public were invited to select their favourite mascot to best represent the Hong Kong Games (HKG) from three shortlisted designs. As a result, more than 3 000 votes were received and Cheering Larry received the highest number of votes to become the mascot of the HKG.
