Division: Mixed division
(Players irrespective of gender and sport class are accepted. Each team must include at least one able-bodied player)
Quota: 6 teams
(Each team is to comprise a maximum of 16 players , a coach and a team leader)
Age: Players must be aged 8 or over (i.e. born in or before 2010).
Eligibility:
  • Player must be a member of one of the basketball teams under the Wheelchair Basketball Redevelopment Programme organised by the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled.
  • Participating players irrespective of gender and sport class are accepted. During the competition, each team must include at least one able-bodied player and not more than two members of the 2018-2019 Hong Kong Wheelchair Basketball Team.
  • Coaches of the 2018-2019 Hong Kong Wheelchair Basketball Team are not allowed to be registered as player, coach or team leader of any team.
Format:
  • A double round robin system will be adopted in the preliminary rounds with 2 points to the winning team and 1 point to the losing team; the team that has withdrawn or is regarded as having withdrawn will score no points. The 4 teams with the highest accumulated points in the preliminary rounds will advance to the semi-finals.
  • A single knock-out system will be adopted in the semi-finals. The team that came first in the preliminary rounds will play against the team that came fourth; the team that came second will play against the team that came third. The losing teams and the winning teams will compete for the 2nd runner-up and the Champion respectively.
